Autotrade started as a traditional garage selling new and used cars and servicing and repairing them. The motor business at Kew commenced many years ago as you will see from these photos. In 1980 we opened our offices in Duesseldorf and commenced selling new and used cars at the reduced european prices. Our business with Hong Kong, Japan and Malayasia substantially
			increased during the mid 1990s and in 1996 we opened our garage in Kobe, Japan. In 2000 we expanded into compact tractors and in 2001 we included excavators in our product range. We believe that the most important part of our business is the selection and quality control of our product. We therefore have always sourced and purchased personally ourselves.
We do not purchase on the internet nor do we use agents to purchase for us. The industry is now a very competitive marketplace and there are a huge number of different companies including foreign companies advertising from their homeland, "import agents" operating from offices and "virtual showrooms" on the internet.
